At Guitar Justice Magazine, we believe in supporting indie, Canadian bands. The idea behind our magazine is to showcase indie talent and serve as a resource center for our fellow musicians.
Want to land on the digital pages of our magazine? It's easy! All you have to do is e-mail EDITOR@GUITARJUSTICE.COM and put "Band Entry" in the subject line. From there we'll send you everything you need to know.
Many bands ask how the interview process takes place. In the past interviews have happened via Skype, in person, over the phone, and through e-mail. We've found the simplest and most efficient way to conduct an interview is via e-mail.
Start by "applying" with your social media links and at least 1 (up to 3) high-quality photos. From there we'll send you a personalized questionnaire featuring 10 questions and 5 quick shot questions (three words or less). After a little back and forth, you'll have your interview land on our digital pages within two months.
Guitar Justice Magazine is run by a father and daughter. Both are musicians, both are self-taught. Since starting the magazine we've had amazing opportunities to reach out and be a part of the local music community.
In 2011 our Guitar Justice Magazine journey began. After we discovered the sheer amount of local talent in the Niagara region, we decided to show it off and help support our local community.
Looking at physical and digital music magazines we decided, "Hey, we can do that." And then we did.
Since then we've expanded our reach to showcase talent across all of the Provinces and Territories in Canada.
People have asked where we find the talented bands we feature in our magazine. The truth is: everywhere.
There are a number of ways we find bands. Either we reach out to bands personally, toss our cards in local buskers guitar cases, find bands across Canada through online resources, or find bands through you.
When we feature bands and they spread the word about their article, other bands tend to follow. We couldn't be happier to spread the word about talented Canadian musicians.
Volume 31 is out, featuring headliner Alex Leggett/Campground, TWO SIDED SHAPE, Sound Ceremony, Son of James, Tap9, Nyki Lindsay King, Robert Laing and Animal Type.
